Required Skill Level: Able to ski up to 4 miles/day at ~11, 600 ft elevation on narrow, sometimes treed blue and black slopes
Enjoy the high alpine environment at 11,600ft. Be present for alpenglow, moon rise, sunrise, sunny afternoons on the deck, wildlife, storms and whatever nature deals us . Opt to join every yoga session and every hike, or choose to relax in the hut. Everything is optional!

Day 1 – Friday April 7th
Meet at Copper Mountain this morning. Hop on the lifts at Copper Mountain to boost us closer, and then snowshoe, x-country ski, alpine tour, or splitboard gradually uphill for 4 miles to the hut. Arrive at Janet’s hut, 11,610ft in Summit County backcountry, our home for the next 2 nights. Settle in with our first restorative yoga session.
Day 2 – Friday April 8th
Smell the coffee brewing as we wake up to pink mountain tops. Welcome the day with an energizing yoga sessions led by the Babes from Meta Yoga Studios in our off-the grid cabin. Enjoy a healthy, homemade breakfast, hike outside our cabin door with knowledgable, experienced backcountry guides. Return to our hut for optional second yoga session, warm food, good company around the fire, and sauna in the evening.
Day 3 – Friday April 9th
Wake up to high alpine views over a cup of coffee. After a guided yoga session, enjoy homemade breakfast in the hut. We’ll return to the trailhead in snowy spring conditions this afternoon. Say farewell to the ladies of backcountry babes.

Leslie balances on her “free-heels” with a 3-time Telemark National Championship title and PSIA Level 3 Telemark Instruction Certification in one hand. And designation as one of the few female lead AIARE Level 1 Avalanche Instructors in the other. (Luckily she has really good balance as a yoga instructor, too.)
Anne St. Clair
Anne is an AIARE-qualified Level 1 Avalanche Instructor that loves beautiful back country lines, whether found by skis or bike. She is often cruising around looking for more back country women to inspire with her fun and passionate leadership.
